08 April 2008 - SAA Call Centre (SAA)
I am writing this complain as I wait on SAA's line (0861359722) to be helped. I have been on hold for over 14 minutes already & no one has answered. I want to confirm a reservation - how on earth can SAA provide such appalling service? This is shocking SAA - sort it out. A basic expectation of your customers is that calls should be answered timeously. 16 minutes now. I give up....

ComplaintOur company placed an order with Telkom to have our office lines moved a month ago; these lines included ADSL, Fax, ISDN, and two Diginet lines. The order was to take place on 3 November. It is now 7 November, we have just had a fax line & ISDN lines installed, but no ADSL or Diginet. We repeatedly confirmed our order in writing and Email and also asked Telkom to visit the site of the new offices to make sure they had what they needed. Our order numbers 5608A and 13198A appear to have been lost in the Telkom purgatory and its now clearly a matter of trying to run a business without connectivity.

How is it that Telkom have survived with this kind of (lack of) attention to customer service?

The Telkom call centre is completedly useless & all they can commit to is that they will 'get back to us'. However, it is always us getting back to them.

Bring on the second network operator - they can provide poor & unreliable service and still beat Telkom.
