| Complaint | On Saturday29 July 2006, I went to see the 12:30 screening of Pirates of the Carribean 2 in cinema no 8
at Ster Kinekor Bayside in Cape Town..
About 20 minutes into the movie the screening went
slightly out of focus, ie close-ups were okay, but the
backgrounds and wide shots were slightly out of focus.
I got up and went to the managers office, where I found
two staffmembers banging on a closed door, I told them
the movie was slightly blurred and they ran to the projection room. From the projection came a man and two
children emerged. I then left to continue watching the movie.
In the cinema to my right were a group of people who
spoke loudly on their cellphones and to each other.
Nothing was done about the sligt blur and I could hardly
hear the soundtrack due to the rude people next me.
I vouch that this is the last time, I will attend the public
screening of a movie, and will from now enjoy watching
movies at home, where it will be in focus and without
people who talk on their cells and converse.
This is the sort of experience that makes movie pirates
out of people. I have wasted my money and left the
cinema feeling cheated and angry. |
