| Company | amazing vouchers |
| Complaint | In December I was contacted by Nazly from the Amazing group of companies. She told me about this wonderful product where I could get FREE vouchers every month to pamper myself with massages. manicures etc for a set fee every month. Below is the mail I sent them at the start of this week to complain as I could use none of the vouchers. I have now phoned them 5 times and they just tell me they've sent my complaint to the marketing dept and the marketing manager will get back to me. Their attitude sucks - they are stealing money from people because they misrepresent their product and then just say they'll update the website.
Heres the letter I sent:
Yesterday I called a few of the suppliers on this months FREE voucher list.
I phoned the hairdresser Cabello Hair design in Florida offering the free mini makeover (hair and makeup) who told me the vouchers expired in January but lo and behold are still on the website but would honor the voucher but only between Tuesdays and Thursdays (P.S They also close at 17:00, so any working person cannot use this voucher unless they take a day’s leave).
Inch by Inch would only be available Mon to Friday and their last appointment is at 15:30 (Again who can use it ????).
The piano lessons also expired in January but as opposed to being free – the 4 lessons being offered for free were subject to buying a book of R120.
The Hairdresser in Randburg, CATWALK who was offering a free wash and blow would charge R65 for my hair (once again advertised under free).
Then, strangely enough, still not discouraged, I further endeavoured and phoned the Mondeor institute of beauty who were offering a free pedicure but who were closing so would not honor the voucher.
By then I had had enough of this crap and what was supposed to be SO MUCH VALUE FOR MONEY was starting to be a pain and a rip off from my perspective. I am now convinced that this company does not understand the term FREE, so I thought it appropriate to find the meaning for you in the online dictionary for future reference.
FREE
without cost, payment, or charge.
provided without, or not subject to, a charge or payment: free parking; a free sample.
Now, this product that I am paying for, which your consultant so eloquently described as this marvellous bargain that I couldn’t live without, has turned out to be offering services which are anything but free and therefore I have to ask you what exactly I have paid for.
My friend, whom I regrettably referred you to, is also having a similar experience, so I am not convinced that yesterday was just a bad day for your company. Furthermore I find it totally unethical that your consultants did not explain to the other person I referred to you and that she referred to you, that they had an option of a contract that had a shorter time span than 12 months. I, as it happens, having had a bad experience before, asked the question and so found out that there is a 3 month option. When my friend’s referred person asked for her voice recording, only part of her recording was played for her – the part where she agreed to purchase the product and not the full conversation which should include your consultant NOT mentioning all the possible options as far as contract periods are concerned.
However, what you don’t know is that they both work for a courier company and all their phone calls are voice recorded and they will be requesting the tapes from their side.
Even having made the phone call to you this morning, I am still not convinced that anything will be done about my complaint judging by the answer I received about forwarding my complaint to the marketing department. There was no apology, and my friend got the same standard response yesterday when she made her phone call to your company as well.
Tell all your friends to stay away from these people - they are a rip off and at R200 a month after 3, 6 or 12 months you can afford to go to the spa by yourself!

| Response on behalf of amazing vouchers | I am extremely concerned about this comment that you have posted as it states incorrect information.
When you signed up for a membership with AmazingVouchers, you agreed to the terms that the sales consultant read out to you. Your voice authorization amounts to a physical signature which constitutes a legal and binding contract.
The conversation between the potential member and the sales consultant is recorded and then audited by our Compliance department. In order for the audit to pass certain criteria have to be met. The potential member needs to be made aware of the membership term, premium per month, the debit date, the redemption of our vouchers, as well as our cancellation procedure. If any of the above mentioned criteria is not made clear, the audit will fail and the sale will not go through.
We are constantly adding new and exciting vouchers to our website giving you access to over 1000 vouchers nationwide, of which you are entitled to 30 FREE vouchers every month to the value of R3000.
We offer vouchers for beauty, health & fitness, travel & accommodation, sports (& extreme sports), bars and clubs and family fun. You get to choose up to 30 vouchers of your choice from any category every month; this gives you freedom to choose vouchers best suited to your needs.
Should you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Kind Regards,
Michelle Allen
