| Complaint | Flat 17 Kwartel Park was avertised in Brakenfell on advertising bill board. I call Celsa prop to inquire about flat and viewed flat in mid January 2008. The flat was still occupied and the tenant was to move out end of February 2008. I was happy with the flat and was assured that flat would be cleaned and painted before i move in. I was informed that i needed to sign the lease to secure the flat and to prevent them from showing it to other potential clients. I then did. On Friday 29th February 2008 i received the keys from an acqaintance of the previous tenant at 20:30 at the entrance of the park. The flat was a dump, black walls, drity carpets, broken door handles, broken toilet seat , cockroach invested kitchen cupboards and dirty owen . The flat was not cleaned , a handover with managing agent never happened. I paid R6340 on the 29th February 2008 on Carthy Wright's word that the flat was ready. I do not want to lease the flat and gave them the keys and they are trying to hold me to the agreement. Cape Town beware of Celsa Properties they are slum lords more the anything else. Sign the lease on the 1st of the month as they do not intend giving you clean premisses.
