| Complaint | I bought a "Police" watch for my son for his 18th birthday in April of 2007 from Rand Jewellers ((011) 427-1000/1) in Benoni, Gauteng. With in the first 6 months the watch was returned for repairs 3 times. It has just gone back for repairs on the 4/2/2008. Each time the watch is sent away for repairs it stays away for a couple of weeks at a time. In the 9 months that my son has had the watch he has probably worn it for 6 months.
On the 3rd time that the watch was repaired I was told that the whole mechanism of the watch was replaced - so much for that - it was returned in less than 2 months as it stopped working again. My problem is that the owners at Rand Jewellers have the attitude that it is not their problem and treat me as a nuisance and irritation. I have even been shouted at when I phone to find out if the watch has come back from the repairers, as if it is my fault that they must deal with such a problem. |
