| Complaint | On 11 December 2007 I made a Voyager booking via internet for a roundtrip ticket from Cape Town to Johannesburg, for my oldest son.
The price for airport taxes stated on the booking details was R374.00
When my son went to collect his ticket with his reference number, he paid the R374, but was asked to pay an additional R200, for so called "service fees".
I phoned SAA to complain about this and they informed me that this is a new policy made by management to encourage passengers not to stand in a queue to collect their tickets.
For the R574 I had to pay for his ticket, I could have booked my son a roundtrip ticket on another airline, like Mango, without having to go through all the effort and time waisting to arrange for this Voyager ticket by internet.
I say that this is just another scam from SAA to prevent them from going bankrupt, by "stealing" from their loyal clients. I will go out of my way NOT to use SAA again, ever. |
